Book Testimonials

“In D Marie’s first work of middle-grade fiction, Journey to the Glass Hill, she introduces you to some characters you will find easy to love, and some that are harder to love. What a great picture of real life! Throughout the tale, readers are prompted to reflect on the challenge of patience in affliction, the living and active nature of God’s Word, and the joy that comes through Christian forgiveness. One of the lovely strengths of this book is its gentle tone that will calm readers from the first page to the last, while also giving plenty of opportunity to think, learn, and grow.”

Journey to the Glass Hill, was a delightful, heart-warming book. I found the characters to be charming and enchanting. This is a true story of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation based upon Biblical principles. As a 4th grade teacher, there is much value in this book being added into the classroom. Journey to the Glass Hill is written age appropriately and would hold the attention of 3rd through 5th grade students. I appreciate the author’s ability to reach this audience as it can be a struggle to find books with Christian values. The message of God’s provision resonates throughout the book. This would be a great book to read aloud to students as well as for them to read on their own. I look forward to being able to share this book with my own children as well as those I teach.”
